last night was the perfect quick dinner night. home late on the ferry. hungry and armed with a truck full of chicken feed, hay harvest supplies, and groceries from trader joes.

no face-off of homemade vs trader joes gyoza tonight. just steps from the kitchen door is the annual snow pea patch. and in the fridge is my fav dipping sauce. made by smashing to paste a hot pepper, 2-3 cloves garlic, ginger (@1/2 volume garlic? or to taste), 4T sugar. add juice of a lime and 1/4c fish sauce to paste. mix and add a couple ice cubes or @1/4-1/2c cold water. i like to use the dipping sauce just as the ice cubes melt. then get the sauce covered and back in fridge when meal is done. lasts 3-4 days then gets a l'il too stinky for me.

out of time. will finish soon with my homemade gyoza/potsticker/dumpling whateva u want to call it delicious nuggets of love things.
