computer designed then crafted by hand
the rhino cad program is a huge help from project start to finish. beginning with the client's vision, generating a 3'd model lets us work together to get the design just right. then based on the cad drawing i can generate a project cost estimate by moving the material list to a spreadsheet. as the job proceeds i build shop drawings by zooming in on particular frame sections. this lets me snap accurate measurements from the computer and transfer them to directly to the timber.
in the shop rhino lets me point and click to get super accurate measurements for frame layout.
